The questions of
HOW AND HOW MUCH...
For a bespoke shoot in the New Forest with your family, it's simple. We pick a day (and usually a back up day in case the weather's truly terrible, which to be honest it hardly ever is) and a place and we meet up there and have a wander around, a chat, a play and I take photos. The New Forest is my home so fantastic locations are endless but more important than the backdrop are the people so I'll be concentrating on making sure it's enjoyable and you all look great. Fabulous, artistic images of you and your loved ones. There's one package to keep it really straightforward and if you want to add products afterwards, my labs, framers and album company are available to present your photographs in style.
I also host occasional mini-shoots where you can book a slot at a specific location where I'm going to be based for the day. Just turn up at your allocated time and it's a slightly shorter version of the above.
And if you have a special event like a christening or an important birthday party, I'm available to turn up and capture all the fun.
All family shoots are available within Hampshire and some parts of Dorset and Wiltshire at no extra cost. I'll travel further afield too, just ask.

HOW IT HAPPENS?
+Will we have to line up and grin like loons?
Nobody has to smile if they don't want to. But it doesn't usually take long for everyone to feel at ease and like they don't have to try too hard. If the smiles come, they are natural and you'll see that in the pictures. I might sometimes suggest a place to explore or a spot where the light is nice but mostly it's pretty spontaneous.
+ I'm not sure my kids will co-operate...
I've been there. My children are all young adults now (the hardest to photograph...) but when they were younger they'd be very reluctant models and I wouldn't have trusted them to be at their best for a photoshoot. The beauty of these lifestyle photos are that they record your life and its imperfections in all their glory. I love the challenge of apparently difficult children and teenagers and will coax them out of themselves to capture their spirit.
+ what should we wear?
Whatever everyone feels comfortable in. Bold patterns and logos are distracting and should be avoided (unless said teenager insists and won't come otherwise, then we can work with it...). The main thing is that each person feels good and comfortable.
+ how long will it take to get my photos afterwards?
I aim for a turnaround of two weeks for regular family shoots and four weeks for mini shoots and family events. They are all delivered in online galleries where you can download hi-res files.
