I said a while ago that I was going to catch up with my editing and post the other fabulous summer weddings where I second-shot for great photographers. Then I got caught up with editing portraits and other weddings and I didn’t get on top of it. Until now! So finally here’s a bumper wedding post featuring no less than four amazing weddings. I’ve just chosen a few favourites from each to try to keep it short and interesting. Many many thanks to all the talented and generous photographers who invited me to shoot with them. I learnt so much from all these weddings and I had a really great time. Here goes…
The first two are weddings led by Stewart Randall who has been a great friend and mentor to me. Sarah and Matthew got married at Whirlowbrook Hall in Sheffield. The speeches started outside in the lovely gardens but a short sharp shower meant the guests had to beat a hasty retreat inside, although it added to the fun and great atmosphere.
Now onto Helen and Ian, who were married at the Kings Croft Hotel in Pontefract, which had a convenient cornfield right next to the hotel where Helen was very happy to be photographed, despite it not being that easy to negotiate in her great dress (we didn’t destroy any crops in the making of these pictures!).
Nearly there! Next is a wedding I did with Suzy Mitchell at Oakwood Hall in Bingley. Charlotte and Gareth had a very friendly relaxed wedding with lots of laughter and pretty details to set it all off nicely. Not to mention a truly spectacular pair of blue Manolo Blahniks…
And last but definitely not least, Lindsey and Andrew were married at the gorgeous venue that is Goldsborough Hall near Harrogate. Lindsey looked stunning and the whole day was a very stylish and happy event. Rebecca Honeywell was kind enough to have me along to second shoot for her and I thoroughly enjoyed the lovely setting and meeting the friendly guests and extremely happy and in-love couple.

James PearsonVery nice indeed – absolutely superb work! Too many excellent images to comment on, but I really love the one of Charlotte’s bridesmaid(?) in front of the window having her necklace put on. Also the one of Lindsey and Andrew sitting on the window ledge; love it!
