These portraits have a Queen’s Jubilee theme rather by chance than design if I’m honest. I went to the Dorset seaside to photograph my friends beautiful children Imani and Jai last weekend and we came across a monument on Weymouth’s promenade, put up to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee. It seemed a fitting bit of history though. Imani and Jai were tremendous sports, letting me photograph them on the beach, in the amusement arcade, paddling in the sea (which was cold but they didn’t complain), messing about with boats, as well as in a meadow and at home at the end of the day when Imani cooked a fantastic meal for us all. It was a wonderful, summery day, picture-postcard perfect.
Nicola StreaderLove how you have toned down the red and blue in these shots, very effective!
