Rachael & Mark’s chateau in France wedding

I’ve been very excited about sharing some of the many images from Rachael and Mark’s amazing wedding at Chateau de Blavou in Normandy, France. As well as being a really gorgeous couple, they were tremendous fun and great sports – they got in a boat, jumped on and off hay bales and Rachael even hitched up her wedding dress and went for a ride on a cool pink bike! They wanted their wedding to be completely relaxed, so instead of a sit-down meal they had a hog-roast picnic on the lawn. There were games, boating and dancing (that went on for several days afterwards apparently) and this fantastic atmosphere, combined with the effort Rachael had made with the details and of course the great venue and French weather, made it a really special day. I felt very lucky to photograph it for them, even though I broke one of my toes the night before so had to suffer for my art! Their civil ceremony at Leeds Town Hall was absolutely lovely too but this was something else…
