Emma and Andreas ‘married’ at Domaine de St Germain, near Sommieres, the Languedoc, France

A French wedding in September. The sun is still strong, the vineyards heavy with fruit and love is in the air…

Emma and Andreas had a super-relaxed really gorgeous celebration at this gem of a venue – Domaine de St Germain – in the countryside north of Montpellier. As they’d already got married officially in the UK a few weeks before they chose to concentrate on the festivities. They saw each other first (Andreas was completely bowled away when he saw Emma, not surprisingly – what a dress!) and they came to the ceremony together. The vows were personal and beautiful and the ‘formalities’ were anything but, with singing from one of their friends and the readings and instructions given by others in a lovely fun way. I was spoilt for choice for their portraits, as the domaine is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and the infinity pool faces out towards the incredible Pic St Loup mountain. As the sun set in the evening, it couldn’t really have been any more perfect… then Emma started to DJ and it was.
