In the summer there was a wedding at Chateau Queille near Mirepoix in the Languedoc. A wedding that was as pretty as a picture in so many ways with kilts, tattoos and a dress to die for. The sun didn’t really shine, which is unusual for that part of France at that time of year. But it didn’t rain and it was warm enough. And what a wedding it was, a photographer’s dream.
Will I ever get to photograph another couple as cool as these two?! They are just achingly gorgeous. This is a visual feast like no other I have ever captured. Just all round amazing. Charlotte really had thought of every detail. She looked, as you can see, as drop dead gorgeous as anyone in the history of brides has ever looked. That Ibal Dror dress! And Jerome, well let’s just say that Carla and I could see what she saw in him! 😉 And he’s a really really lovely guy. What a lucky pair.
After the dress, the tattoos, the kilts, the beautiful wild flowers from Victoria and the star of the show Dotty the bedlington terrier, we couldn’t have asked for more. But as well as it looking out of this world, the emotion and the love of the day was equally beautiful. The ceremony in the romantic rustic chapel was conducted by the always excellent Wedding Words and Wishes then there was a fabulous outdoor feast by the river with time for games and a wander round the grounds for some lovely portraits of Charlotte and Jerome afterwards.
Thanks to Carla Blain for being fab company and keeping me sane as a second shooter. We ended up having a great girls’ weekend around the wedding including a few hours enjoying the beach.
