Cat and Nick’s wedding, The George Hotel Piercebridge

I had been really looking forward to photographing Cat and Nick’s wedding near Darlington as their pre-wedding shoot had been such fun (you can see it here). They were true to form on their wedding day and it was wonderful from start to finish. The day before the weather was atrocious, as you can see from how high the River Tees was flowing past the hotel, but it was fine and dry for their lovely wedding. Congratulations Cat and Nick, I hope you like these preview images and I can’t wait to show you the rest when you get back from your honeymoon.

Thanks to Neil Matthews for doing an excellent job second shooting.

Not everybody got caught up in the excitement of the preparations…

The river isn’t normally this high! The island is often used for the drinks reception but not surprisingly it was a bit too soggy.

Cat was a great sport and enjoyed doing a spot of posing in the atmospheric pub interior…

  • Laura SilcockAww, these are lovely. Such a great mix. Looks like a fab day! I bet they’ll be delighted with these!

  • SilverbackFabulous set, Susie. Lovely mix of formal, semi formal and candid. You’ve certainly mastered depth of field as shown by the first few photos, especially the one of the sandals/shoes which is awesome.

As a hobbyist who has covered a few events for myself, I really love No.23 (hope I counted right !) as it proves you totally blended in on the day as only one man broke ranks to look straight at you and in fact that made the photo.

You should be suitably proud and the couple, suitably delighted.

  • Cat's MumLovely photos of a wonderful day! Look forward to seeing the whole lot!

Stunning imagery for the people and places
