I’d never been to Poland before so when Kaya and Mark asked me to photograph their international wedding in Wroclaw I was so excited. A Polish bride and an Irish groom and a dream city destination. The ceremony was at the lovely Church of St Dorothea in central Wroclaw and they had their wedding reception at the very elegant Monopol Hotel just next door. It was the one rainy day in a run of typical hot sunny days so the planned drinks on the roof terrace didn’t happen but nobody cared as there was enough love and merriment (not to mention the delicious food) to keep everyone happy. I can thoroughly recommend Wroclaw as a destination for a weekend break from the UK, it’s a beautiful vibrant city and Karl and I had great fun exploring by bike the day after the wedding.
The dove release, the decor, the dress, it all came together for a memorable and very cosmopolitan wedding in Poland. Starting with a calm and extremely professional make up session at Pro Makeup Academy with her maid of honour Izabela, Kaya rocked everything about her day and she and Mark were so perfect together.
