This is a wedding I shot with my friend and wonderful photographer Suzy Mitchell last September. I love second-shooting occasionally as it gives me a chance to observe a bit more from the sidelines and try out some things to be a bit creative. Hilary and Taher had the perfect wedding to do this as it comprised all the elements a ‘proper’ Yorkshire wedding needs – a lovely church, a red open top vintage sports car, a double-decker bus, a fantastic music-hall style venue – The Winter Gardens – and, as the sun started to set, a walk to Betty’s Tearooms and back. It was my job to start with the boys getting ready at Rombald’s Hotel and we had a quick stroll up onto Ilkley Moor, before heading off to the church in style. Thanks for having me along Suzy. I’d look to book some more weddings like this myself. I know I’m lucky to go abroad so much but my heart does belong in Yorkshire too.
